Elena's 2nd Birthday Party
Written by Nick Lance on Thursday, 03 December 2015 10:14

Elena celebrated her 2nd birthday recently and I was invited along as their Perth Photographer.

I have been present to photograph many of Elena’s milestones and special occasions. The last of which was Elena’s first birthday.

There were plenty of Elena’s friends invited to help celebrate her birthday at Lake Jualbup in Shenton Park. We were able to take lots of family photos as well as a big group photo so that Elena can remember her special time forever.

Simmonds Family | Hyde Park
Written by Nick Lance on Sunday, 12 July 2015 10:40

Yesterday we met with the Simmonds Family at Hyde Park in Perth for some family photos.

Hyde Park is one of our favourite places to take photos and is perfect almost all year round. However, being such a gorgeous place means that it attracts a lot of visitors, which of course isn’t ideal for family photos. We originally had scheduled the photoshoot for last weekend but had to postpone due to rain, so we joked that last weekend would have been great with no people around. All jokes aside, there isn’t much that stops us from taking great photos.

Almost every family that we have ever taken photos with has had the father saying something along the lines of “I don’t like my photo being taken”. I have to admit to them – ‘Neither do I”. It’s true. If someone asks me to smile for a photo I can’t help but feel a little awkward. I have strange thoughts running through my head like; am I standing up straight? Am I pulling that awkward smile I always do? Do my hands look weird? Have they taken the photo yet? I can guarantee that there are loads of people out there who think these sorts of crazy things as soon as the camera is pointed at them.

Its because of my own awkwardness that I have made our photoshoots different. We specialise in taking photos with real smiles and genuine emotion. We try our best to get people to laugh with us, but I’ll admit that there are times when people laugh at us instead. Our clients are too busy enjoying themselves to think about anything else but having fun.

Loralie | Perth Photographer
Written by Nick Lance on Thursday, 25 June 2015 09:56

Alecia and her two youngest girls joined us in our Perth photography studio for some family portrait photos. Her youngest, Loralie is now 7 months old which is just a little older than her sister Aurelia when she visited our studio for her photos which can be seen by following this link; Aurelia | Perth Photographer.

One of the biggest features that separates us from other Perth Photographers is that there is always both Billie and Nick for all studio photography sessions. Not only does this speed up the photographic process and creative side of a photographic session, but also for unforeseen circumstances that not many people consider.  What happens when we only Mummy can visit our studio but has more than one child that wants 100% attention? This is where having Billie in the studio is invaluable. Aurelia wasn’t feeling the best and so Billie was able to keep her company, whilst I was photographing Loralie with Mum.

We have been flat out here at Digitally Enhanced Photography with Weddings this year. Although we are at the end of our peak time of wedding season, we still in the midst of family portraits and of course meetings for this coming wedding season. Weekends are booking up faster than they have in the past so make sure to contact us soon to schedule your photoshoot.

Talia''s Christening | Event Photographer Perth
Written by Nick Lance on Monday, 18 May 2015 10:28

Baby Talia was christened on Sunday at Saint Nikola Church in North Perth and we were asked along as the Perth Event Photographer.

As Perth Photographers we are present to photograph some of the most important moments in people lives. It is an honour to share in our client’s special times and we love watching families grow.  Talia’s family is no strangers to our studio as we have been there for older sister Makayla’s Christening and first birthday.

After the formalities at Saint Nikola Church, family and friends were invited back to the Kingsway Bar & Bistro for lunch. The decorations were amazing and everyone had a great time.

Photography really is an emotive art form. Anybody can take a photograph but it takes a highly skilled photographer to capture emotive images with consistency. After all, event photography isn’t just about 1 or 2 images, event photography is about the series of images that create the story. My background in documentary film making have granted me a unique perspective on photojournalism and allowed me to create narratives with my images that flow like a storybook.

Our Event Photography is gaining more and more popularity. We are booking up to 18 months in advance so please contact us as soon as possible to avoid disappointment. For more information please visit www.digitallyenhancedphotography.com.au/services/events.html

Zane | Perth Photographer
Written by Nick Lance on Sunday, 17 May 2015 20:14

We had 6 week old Zane visit our Landsdale Photography studio yesterday for his newborn photos. Zane’s family has visited our studio many times for their portrait photos, so now it was Zane’s turn to try his hand at modelling for us.

We loved seeing how much every one had grown and how their little personalities have developed. The first thing Levi said when he entered our studio was that he’d like to smash the cake. Levi had great fun the last time he was here when he helped his sister, Maya smash her first birthday cake. One of the great bonuses of our Portrait Photography Packages is that each of the packages comes with a free portrait sitting. Quite often our clients have their newborn sitting and then use their free sitting for their babies first birthday as a cake smash.

There are many different reasons to have a photography shoot, especially in our Information Age with camera phones and mass media. Everyone is taking pictures of their lunch, their cats and themselves in the mirror and there’s less people taking the time to get together for a photograph that will stand the test of time. Anyone can take a quick pic with a camera phone, but that pic can’t be displayed on your wall. We give all our clients the option of prints and digital images with framing, canvas and album options. We also keep all our past clients images in a secure backup so their memories are safe and secure.

Visit our Portrait Photography Packages tab and you will see that quality photography can be affordable!

Melissa | Perth Photographer
Written by Nick Lance on Wednesday, 15 April 2015 12:04

We had Majid & Narges visit our Perth Photography studio for their photos with their baby Melissa yesterday. I first met with Narges and Majid in January for their maternity photoshoot at Sir James Mitchell Park after welcoming the beautiful baby girl into the world, it was now time for her own photoshoot. Narges & Majid’s maternity photoshoot can be seen by following this link – Maternity Photoshoot – Sir James Mitchell Park.

It’s been a while since we last had a newborn baby in our studio, so it was a welcomed treat to have the gorgeous little baby grunts that we love hearing.

Melissa enjoyed having a play with Billie, so much so that she didn’t want to go to sleep at first. When she did though, we used a few of our baby props and blankets that we have in our studio. Melissa also came with her grandparents who were visiting from overseas, so it was great to have them involved in Melissa’s baby photos.
