Jamie & Stacey - Wedding Photographer Perth
Written by Nick Lance on Sunday, 13 May 2012 15:02

Yesterday we were invited to photograph Stacey & Jamie’s Wedding day. Firstly I have to mention how perfect the weather was because all week it looked like we would have to contend with rain. Instead we were blessed with bright sunshine and blue skies all day! In the morning we met with Stacey as she got ready at the Pan Pacific Hotel in the heart of the city. It was then off to the Perth Zoo. After the ceremony in the Japanese Gardens and together with the bridal party, we were escorted around the Perth Zoo for photos via our own golf buggies. Perth Zoo has some amazing locations for wedding photos thanks to the differing habitats the animals live in. It’s like having 5 different locations all in one. We didn’t have to travel far for the reception, which was held at Perth Zoo’s own Rothchild’s restaurant. Thanks Stacey & Jamie for inviting us to share in your Wedding Day :)

Alex & Kym - Wedding Photographer Perth
Written by Nick Lance on Friday, 27 April 2012 12:05

Sunday was Alex & Kym’s Wedding day and without a doubt the most culturally amazing wedding experience we have had the pleasure of photographing. For those who aren’t aware of Macedonian traditions I won’t spoil any surprises. What I will mention is that there was a live band in the street with lots of singing and dancing as well as shaving with an axe! There were things happening everywhere we turned from 8 o’clock in the morning until late into the night.

Alex & Kym’s ceremony was held at the Macedonian Orthodox Church in North Perth. From there we travelled to Matilda Bay for some photos in a fleet of vehicles which included a couple of Torana’s worthy of any showroom floor and caught the eye of everyone we passed. We finished the day with the reception at the Perth Convention Centre.

Being a Perth Wedding Photographer allows me to experience such a diverse range of cultural traditions that really makes photographing weddings the best job in the world. I love my job :)

John & Tracey - Wedding Photographer Perth
Written by Nick Lance on Thursday, 26 April 2012 12:30

John & Tracey were married on Saturday and we had the privilege of capturing their wedding day. We joined Tracey as she got ready in her home where we were able to take some detail shots before the ceremony. Allowing extra time before the ceremony is a great way for us to visually tell a more complete story of a wedding day. After all, it takes a lot of time and thought to plan a Wedding and it’s the details that complete the day.

After the ceremony at St Simon Peter’s Catholic Church we headed to Sorrento Beach to take some photos as the sun went down along the coast. It was then on to the reception where John & Tracey were greeted by family and friends to dance the night away.

Bryce 10 days old - Newborn Photographer Perth
Written by Nick Lance on Wednesday, 25 April 2012 09:36

Photography is visual and part of my job as a photographer is watching people and how they interact with others. I’m constantly waiting to find a visual indicator of a person’s emotions from either an expression change or some form of physical gesture. At only 10 days old we had Bryce in our studio for his newborn photo shoot the other day. He was a bit reluctant to cooperate at first, although of course he would settle when he was held by mum. I watched a few times as this repeated itself. His body would tense up and he would cry and then he would hear his mother’s voice I could visibly see his whole mood change. So I asked her to come and sit closer to where we were and it was as if he could sense her closeness that he became completely relaxed and settled instantly. Any parent can relate to this emotional relationship. Capturing this love in a photograph is just another reward of my chosen career as a photographer.

Chace's 1st birthday - Cake Smash Photography Perth
Written by Nick Lance on Tuesday, 24 April 2012 10:26

It was Chace’s 1st birthday recently and we had him in our studio the other day for a special treat – a Cake Smash! Like every child Chace was a bit hesitant at first with repeated glances at Mum for reassurance as if to ask “Really Mum.. this is all for me?”. But it didn’t take long before Chace was having a ball and we had cake and icing everywhere!

Traditionally a 1st birthday is celebrated with lots of family and friends coming together with lots of presents, but when that cake comes out all any young child wants to do is be let loose! A Cake Smash photoshoot is the perfect gift for any child on their birthday, we provide the giant cupcake and we clean the mess. Visit our Cake Smash Photography tab for more details.

Joe & Casey - Wedding Photographer Perth
Written by Nick Lance on Sunday, 08 April 2012 16:18

Yesterday we had the pleasure of photographing Joe & Casey’s Wedding. Casey started the day at her Mum’s house getting ready with her Maid of Honour and some special help from her gorgeous daughter Tia. The Ceremony was held at Merv Cowan Reserve where friends and family came to watch as Joe & Casey declared their love for each other and a happy future with young Tia. The bridal party visited Cliff Street and the Roundhouse in Fremantle for a few photos before heading off to the Fremantle Sailing Club for their Reception. It was their we saw the shortest speech by a Best Man ever as well as the coolest Nana we’ve met. Once every one hit the dance floor the party really started! Here are just a few photos from Joe & Casey's Wedding day;
